  • Before you take the plunge, check for any maintenance or engine lights on your dashboard. A smooth tuning experience starts with a clean slate - no errors should be present before removing your ECM.
  • Perform DPF Regen prior to having PCM tuned as this will reset DPF accumulation values that cannot be reset once the PCM has been modified/tuned.
  • If you're facing DEF/DPF countdown issues, clear them out first. The SCR module may hold onto these codes, even after an ECU tune. Start fresh for optimal performance.

Ensure a seamless tuning process by clearing all codes before ECM removal.

  2. Turn the key to the off position.
  3. Remove the negative cable from the battery.
  4. Remove ECM.
